How to Wear Linen Into Autumn: A TransitionalCapsule

There is a week, every year, when the light changes before the temperature does. The linen is still in the wardrobe, still the fabric that fits the body best, but the morning asks for something more. This is not a reason to put it away.

Start with what's already there. A linen blouse, worn under a wool cardigan instead of alone, does not stop being a summer piece — it becomes an autumn one, without a single new purchase. The same is true of a linen skirt under tights, or a linen dress with a jacket over it and boots instead of sandals. Nothing changes except what surrounds it.

Colour helps the transition more than weight does. The pale linens of July read as summer no matter what you add to them; the stone, the olive, the espiga brown already in the Autumn collection carry their own season and layer into it naturally.

The rule we keep coming back to: one heavier piece, one linen piece, nothing else competing for attention. A wool coat over a linen dress. A knit vest over a linen shirt. The eye rests on the contrast of textures instead of the number of pieces.
This is, in the end, the same idea the whole collection is built on — buying less, and asking each piece to do more than one season's worth of work.
